When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Colin Steed has over 35 years' experience in the learning and development field.
In 1995, he was instrumental in founding and setting up the Institute of IT Training. In 1998 his first book, Web-Based Training, was published by Gower, the first book on the subject to be published in Europe.
In February 2000, he was presented with the Colin Corder Award at the IT Training Awards for his achievements to the L&D profession. He was appointed Chief Executive of the Institute of IT Training in October 2000. In 2002 he was published as one of ten people in IT Training magazine's “IT Training Hall of Fame”.
