tmux and Your Operating System
As tmux becomes part of your workflow, you may want to integrate it more tightly with your operating system. In this section, you’ll discover ways to make tmux and your system work well together.

tmux will use your default shell when you start a new session or window. You can override the shell tmux uses by explicitly setting the default shell in .tmux.conf. | | set -g default-shell /bin/bash |
Since tmux is just a terminal multiplexer and not a shell of its own, you specify exactly what shell to run when it starts.
