I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Arcs and Anticipation
Have you ever watched leaves falling from the trees? Have you noticed that they don’t drop straight down but tend float on ever-diminishing arcs, much like the animation I did for my film, Hokusai: An Animated Sketchbook?
An arc is the core of all movement. As I have said before, only a very fixed mechanical device moves in straight lines; everything else moves in curves or arcs in accordance with their mass or weight. Of course, if the leaves on a tree were round and made of solid iron, they would drop straight down like a stone, or apples. But they are not. They are made of thin, light, aerodynamic surfaces ...
