In this chapter, we first analyze the sort of tasks that a researcher with a team of students and coworkers has to deal with, and we approach it from the viewpoint of the researcher self. We acknowledge that each person is different, while also the environments in which people work may vary widely. We adopt a simple four-dimensional model that has proven its value in describing the way different people act in their work, and we apologize at the onset for the severe oversimplification that we hereby introduce.
