Chapter overview

It is advisable that work does not commence at Stage 4 until planning permission has been obtained due to the risks associated with obtaining consent. Once permission is obtained the conditions attached to it can be addressed as required. Pre-commencement conditions must be approved by the planning authority before work on site begins at Stage 5 and in accordance with the Design Programme.
