I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 14. Futures Slang and Terminology
To outsiders, it might seem like the futures industry has created its own language. Many of the terms used by brokers and traders take a new meaning from their origin, and becoming familiar with the slang can prevent costly miscommunications. Some of the terminology covered in this chapter has been brushed on already, but when it comes to building a foundation of trading knowledge, it is important to seal any cracks.
