6. What Are Currency Futures?
The futures markets, and the easy access to currency speculation they provide, have been in existence for decades. Therefore, in this book I’ve opted to put a little more focus into the relatively new, and somewhat unknown, world of FOREX. Nonetheless, it is critical that traders fully understand the opportunities available to them in the currency futures markets. In fact, as you will discover in reading this text, I tend to be an advocate of foreign exchange speculation through the centralized and regulated futures exchanges, as opposed to off-exchange products with little regulation (FOREX).
