Searching Books and Libraries

A lot of great information is out there on the Web. But it pales in comparison to the amount of information available in printed books. If there were a way to create a repository of all the world’s book content, it would put the Internet to shame.

For better or for worse, Google is working to create that legendary global book repository. Imagine, if you will, every book ever published, available for searching online, from your web browser. That’s what Google is trying to accomplish with Google Books. If Google is successful (and there’s no guarantee of that, of course; the project is rather daunting), the collected wisdom of the ages will be just a mouse click away.
