It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Lorsque de nouvelles fonctionnalités substantielles apparaissent dans Python, elles sont nouvelles pour tout le monde. J'ai près de deux décennies d'expérience avec Python, mais j'ai tout de même trouvé Asyncio difficile à apprendre - même en tenant compte du fait que j'avais déjà travaillé avec Twisted et Tornado sur des projets antérieurs, et que la programmation basée sur les événements n'était donc pas une nouveauté pour moi. J'ai trouvé l'API asyncio beaucoup plus complexe que ce à quoi je m'attendais. Cela est dû en partie au manque de documentation de haut niveau.
Maintenant, après avoir passé le temps d'apprendre à utiliser Asyncio en Python, je me sens beaucoup plus à l'aise avec, et cette progression sera probablement similaire pour toi aussi. Il y a une structure et un objectif cohérents derrière la conception de l'API, et j'espère que ce livre te permettra d'apprendre beaucoup plus facilement que cela n'a été le cas pour moi. Avec une compréhension de base en place, je trouve maintenant qu'il est assez facile d'écrire du nouveau code basé sur Asyncio sans avoir à se référer constamment à la documentation : c'est un très bon signe, et ce n'est certainement pas le cas avec tous les modules de la bibliothèque standard.
