So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The notion of best practices is at the very heart of the question of viability. Without the implementation of the general best practices for Oracle on vSphere, or at least an alternate and well thought-out plan, there are very few successful implementations. A basic pillar of Oracle on vSphere is that the fundamental approach to implementing Oracle does not change and that therefore the skill set of the database administrator (DBA) does not have to be appreciably altered to successfully install, configure, maintain, and run Oracle on vSphere.
