As you work on Visio drawings, you'll find yourself zipping around the drawing area, editing here, adding there, and generally tweaking everywhere. Visio includes the usual panning and zooming commands, but you can also look at different aspects of your Visio drawings through several special Visio windows, such as the Shape Data Window, which shows shape data fields and their values.

As your drawings grow in size and complexity, you can add pages to hold more content. Background pages work like watermarks, displaying company logos or background graphics, such as title blocks, that appear on each page of a drawing. Working with multiple drawing pages is easy—a page-level shortcut menu includes commands for adding, deleting, renaming, and reordering pages. For extra credit, you can rotate pages temporarily to add objects at an angle—for example, to draw offices positioned at different angles in a modernistic floor plan.

Page settings further fine-tune how your drawings look and behave, for example, whether you want a 2-inch thumbnail with shapes at their actual size or a 22-inch by 34-inch architectural plan with shapes scaled to ¼ inch equal to 1 foot.
