The digits at the left of the table are the left digits of the decimal equivalent (0–127) of the character code, and the digits at the top of the table are the right digits of the character code. For example, the character “F” is in row 7 and column 0, so its character code is 70. Similarly, the character “&” is in row 3 and column 8, so its character code is 38.
