Using Generative AI
In the previous chapter, we discussed what Generative AI is and how it works. Users, however, consider a technology as being transformational only if it significantly makes their lives easier. Therefore, what matters is how useful and how good the products that incorporate the technology are. On this front, GenAI has been compelling.
In this chapter, we will look at tools that enable consumers to use GenAI and products that have GenAI built in. We’ll also show you how to prompt GenAI models, employ APIs to call GenAI models, and adapt the models’ responses (see Figure 2-1). We’ll look at enterprise use cases of GenAI in the next chapter.
