Chapter 8. Security Considerations for VoIP Networks

This chapter discusses security considerations as part of designing and implementing a VoIP network. Unquestionably, security is an important element during the design and implementation of a service provider’s VoIP network. This chapter focuses on the three security measures that need to be implemented in a VoIP network:

• H.323 Registration, Admission, and Status Protocol (RAS) Authentication

• Network Access Security

• Device Security
