MAKING A STENCIL

STEP ONE You can make stencils with tracing paper, news-print, and drafting tape. This method is easy and inexpensive; plus, there is less tacky area to stick to the painting. Place a piece of tracing paper over each object to be airbrushed and then trace the object with an HB pencil at a slightly larger size.

STEP TWO Place the tracing paper over a piece of newsprint and cut out the shapes with a craft knife. Use a piece of heavy glass as a cutting board to ensure a precise cut.
