Quality and Auditing

History and Background

Internal audit progressed in prominence, importance, and emphasis through the development of the main quality management standard (see Figure 10.1: Standards Development of the foundation, Quality Management Standard).

There are clear links to financial audit—both are concerned with loss and one authority expects them a complete merger in another 10 years—from when he wrote, now expired, and with no observable signs yet.1 But the observation still stands (see Chapter 23 Financial Accountancy and Management Consulting below).
