Managing Controlled GPOs

With AGPM, your GPOs are either controlled or uncontrolled. With controlled GPOs, you have offline copies of GPOs as well as live GPOs in production, and you have additional management options as discussed in this section. These additional options include:

• Creating and using GPO templates

• Controlling and importing GPOs

• Creating, deploying, and deleting controlled GPOs

• Labeling, restoring, and redeploying controlled GPOs

• Checking out, editing, and checking in controlled GPOs

• Tracking change history and generating reports

Irrespective of AGPM controls, there are certain tasks that you’ll use to manage your GPOs in the live production environment. These tasks are discussed in "Managing Your GPOs in Production" in Chapter 3.
