Introduction: It’s Not About the X’s and O’s—It’s About the CEOs

 

 

 

At the start of the 2004 NFL season, my wife Lynn and I represent six of the League’s head coaches. To my knowledge, no other sports agency has ever had as many NFL head coaches as clients in a single season, that is, except for us. We also had six in 2002. One of them lost his job at the end of the season, so we had five in 2003. Three of those coaches held multiple titles of executive vice president of football operations, general manager, and head coach. Few coaches ever have this amount of power in the NFL.
