PART IIINDIVIDUALS WORKING REMOTELY
As stated elsewhere in this book, the key to making a success of remote working is finding your optimal combination of skill set, tool set, and mind set. Of course, some details will be dictated by your position or industry—but there is a great deal that applies to nearly all situations, especially concerning the attitude with which you approach your work.
Chapter 3 lays out what you'd need to get started: fundamental skills and practices as well as physical components like workspace and equipment. These are items that you'd set up, master, and progress from. Chapter 4 addresses what to constantly work at to perfect your game. There you can learn how to deliver what your employer needs (think motivation and productivity), how to tend to your own needs (such as not overworking), and how to be a great team player.
If your getting-started plan includes gauging whether you're suited for the remote route, you'll find guidance throughout Part II, starting with the Deciding for Yourself section in chapter 3.
