2章Delta Lakeを導入する
この章では、Delta Lakeのセットアップ方法と、最初のスタンドアロンアプリケーションを書き始めるための簡単なステップを紹介する。
Delta Lakeをインストールする方法は複数あるが、まだ始めたばかりであれば、Delta Lake Dockerイメージで1台のマシンを使うのが最適である。ローカルインストールの手間を省きたい場合は、最新バージョンのDelta Lakeを含むDatabricks Community Edition†1が無料で、Delta Lakeをネイティブに提供するDatabricksのさまざまな無料トライアルも利用可能できる。この章で説明する他のオプションには、Delta Rust Pythonバインディング、Delta Rust API、Apache Sparkがある。この章では、説明のためにDelta Lakeテーブルの作成と検証も行うが、Delta Lakeのテーブル作成とその他のCRUD操作については、3章で詳しく説明する。
