How to Apply
Applying for the YouTube Partner Program is easy and takes only three steps. You must be 18 or older to apply for yourself. If you're younger than 18, YouTube asks that your parent fills out the form for you. Your application will be tied to a checking account, so you can't fill out the application under your name if you're not of age.
When you are ready to apply, visit the Partner Program portal page at:www.youtube.com/partners (URL 11.2), as shown in Figure 11-1.
Scroll to the bottom of the YouTube Partner Program portal page, and click the Apply Now button. After clicking Apply Now, you will be taken to an online application form (Figure 11-2).

The Partner Program application form asks you for standard personal information, such as your actual legal name (most Internet users go by screen names, or handles), and for information about your videos. The information you provide here helps determine whether you're approved for the Partner Program, so I advise you to remain professional and honest.
