Subject: Acquiring Out-of-Print Books

Is there any where to purchase out-of-print O'Reilly books? Specifically, I am interested in getting a copy of MH & xmh: Email for Users & Programmers, 3rd Edition.

There are multiple sources of used books (including computer books) on the Web. For example:

  • There's a used copy of MH & xmh for sale on amazon.com right now for $9.99.

  • Bibliofind has multiple copies for sale.

  • Alibris is also a great source for used books, though they don't happen to have a copy of MH & xmh at this time.

The book is also available for free download from a number of sites on the Net. When we took the book out of print, we put it out under the GNU GPL. Googling for the title (http://google.com) will find you lots of links.

The master copy of MH & xmh that Jerry Peek, the author, still maintains is at http://www1.ics.uci.edu/~mh/book/. And here's Jerry's list of mirrors:
