Online Learning Activities
Virtual classroom tools offer a core set of features and functionality. Many trainers forget that they need to conduct online learning in the same way they do face-to-face learning. You can't throw adult learning principles out the door just because your learners are not in the room with you. Screen sharing, chat rooms, drawing and pointer tools, polls, instant feedback, breakout rooms, and other tools are there for the facilitator to use to encourage interaction. Work toward finding the best way to design a virtual classroom session that truly engages participants. Practice using the facilitation techniques that work best online.
