6.1 Das Slicer-Programm
»Slice« ist Englisch und heißt auf Deutsch »Scheibe«. Ein Slicer-Programm bereitet ein 3D-Modell für den Druck vor, indem es das Modell in Scheiben bzw. Schichten aufteilt. Diese Schichten werden später vom 3D-Drucker angefahren und mit Filament ausgefüllt. Weiterhin werden im Slicer-Programm verschiedene, den Druck steuernde Parameter erfasst. Ziel ist es, eine Gcode-Datei zu erstellen, die dem Drucker zur Verfügung gestellt wird und die er zur Steuerung des Drucks verwendet.
