In diesem Kapitel möchte ich Ihnen zeigen, wie man in einem 3D-Druck-Studio einen Druck beauftragen kann. Ich habe dazu die Firma 3D GENERATION GmbH (http://3dgeneration.com/) ausgesucht. Diese Firma bietet an derzeit 25 verschiedenen Standorten in Deutschland das Scannen einer Person an, von der dann in der Zentrale in Dortmund eine kleine Gipsfigur gedruckt wird. Diese Modelle bewegen sich preislich für eine Einzelperson zwischen 79 und 359 Euro, je nachdem, wie groß die Figur sein soll.
Ich habe den 3D-Scanner in Köln aufgesucht, der in der »Saturn«-Filiale auf der Hohe Straße zu finden ist. Der Scanner ist ein runder Raum mit etwa 3 Metern Durchmesser, wie Abbildung 14.1 zeigt.
