It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

AES（進階加密標準）
進階加密標準（Advanced Encryption Standard，AES）是美國國家標準技術局
（NIST）經過五年評估，最後於 2001 年所選用的加密演算法，用以取代舊有的資
料加密標準（Data Encryption Standard，DES）。 AES 為 128 位元的區塊加密演算法
（Block Cipher），可以使用 128、192 或 256 位元的金鑰，被廣泛地應用於許多需
要使用區塊加密的協定中，包括 802.11i 的 CCMP，雖然 CCMP 僅使用了 128 位元
的金鑰。AES 的規格詳見 FIPS 第 197 號出版品。
AP（存取點或基地台）
存取點（Access Point，AP）為類似橋接器（Bridge）的設備，用以連結 802.11 無
