It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Value: The degree of brightness: a well-lit color has high intensity; a dark color has low

This is a more intuitive method of describing colors, and as the intensity is independent of
the color information, this is a very useful model for image processing. We can visualize
