Introduction

In many situations you will be undertaking the Project on behalf of another organisation. If this is the case then a critical Stakeholder who needs to be managed is the External Client. They are a substantial Stakeholder in terms of the level of benefit they are seeking from the Project. Within their own organisation the External Client will be accountable for the Project delivering what it is paying for – so they have their own internal Customers. Similarly, if we look down the down the supply chain, aspects of undertaking the Project are often outsourced to External Contractors.
