Microsoft .NET My Services (formerly codenamed “HailStorm”) is a set of core XML web services that store information for users – information such as their personal profile, contacts, lists, calendar, electronic wallet, physical location, document stores, application settings, and favorite websites, to name but a few. Applications call on .NET My Services, with the explicit permission of the user, to access these key pieces of personal data in order to customize or personalize service to that user.
