Chapter 1. Getting to Know the Workspace

In this lesson, you will get up to speed on the Adobe Fireworks CS4 interface. You’ll learn how to do the following:

  • Set up a new document

  • Open an existing document

  • Draw a vector shape

  • Get acquainted with the Tools panel

  • Save a file

  • Use the Property inspector to change attributes of a selected object

  • Reconfigure the workspace

  • Save a custom workspace

  • Work with multiple documents in Tab view

  • Use the History panel

  • Navigate to Fireworks Help
