The objective of this chapter is to summarize the recent advances in the field of three-dimensional (3D) braiding. A strong emphasis will be put on the production of complex braids and the technical conversion of the process. A brief introduction to the 3D braiding technique and its limits and potential applications will be discussed, as it is crucial for the reader to understand the nature of braids and the formation of braids.
