Abstract
Twenty-four percent of all sectors’ energy use is in the residential sector. Intelligent sensors and smart appliances have sped up the development of energy management systems for private residences. Finding a happy medium between user convenience and energy efficiency is the goal. When calculating the efficiency of a smart house, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems may account for as much as 65% of total energy consumption. Research has shown that reducing energy usage is the major objective of combining a fuzzy logic system with other tactics. However, these strategies almost always compromise user experience. In this research, propose a fuzzy inference system (FIS) that takes humidity into account as another input to ensure that the thermostat settings are always optimal for user comfort.
