So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Why am I writing this book?
A very good question and one I have often asked myself in the middle of the night when the blank page beckoned and deadlines loomed. Then I realised writing a book is very much like running or auditing a project. When you start out you have an idea what you will end up with, but you cannot be certain of the final product. It’s exciting, challenging and you hope it will produce something useful and worthwhile. At the same time it can also be scary and alarming; daunting even when you look at the task ahead.
I am writing it because I can and no one else has. I have been involved in IT projects and get tired of seeing the same mistakes repeated. Typical scenarios are systems that do not meet user requirements, ...
