Chapter 4Adapting Pedagogy for AI Integration

The prevailing alarmist sentiment often suggests that our entire educational system has become, or is becoming, outdated. Despite this, modern pedagogical theory, informed by centuries of educational research and practice, is resilient and robust enough to adapt and evolve, even in the face of perhaps the most remarkable shift since John Dewey began his influential writings. Therefore, rather than resisting this change, we have begun to reframe our perspective, as is discussed in Chapter 3, to modify our pedagogical theories and practices in the era of AI. In many instances, AI can enhance our existing practices, thereby facilitating us in achieving our educational goals more effectively.
