Patents

I started tracking deep learning patents after December 12, 2016, the date when I was informed that my first patent would be issued. From that date, I went back in time, hoping to find a baseline. I have a spreadsheet that tracks “deep learning” patents in numerical order, beginning on ­January 1, 2013. It turned out that the way I was searching turned up only three or four patents during 2013, 2014, and 2015.

And by “deep learning” I mean that, in the search field of Claim(s), I track the terms “deep learning” OR “deep neural” OR “multi-layer neural.”
