Red teaming shows where deployed AI systems break. Infrastructure security decides how far the break can spread. A prompt injection is bad; a prompt injection with access to training data, model artifacts, deployment credentials, or GPU clusters is a different class of incident.
This chapter starts from a blunt premise: AI workloads inherit normal cloud risk and then add expensive compute, long-running jobs, mutable datasets, model artifacts, retrieval stores, and policy-sensitive runtime behavior. A single public bucket, overbroad service role, unsigned model artifact, or permissive gateway can undo months of careful model work.
