I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Beyond using alternatives in substrates, you can alter and manipulate them as well. The following is a list of substrates and various manipulations. Just to be clear, not all substrates or manipulations can be used with all processes. In fact, there are very few examples available. Use this section as a place to start. Search for examples in their respective topics and develop your own working methods.
Artists working with metal rely on a number of manipulations for things like welded furniture, sculptures, armatures, and assemblages.
