I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Working with the BLOB strategy
In the BLOB strategy, we need only two columns: a column for the cache key and a column for the value object stored in the cache. The key column will contain the primitive integer and the value column will store the kyro serialized Conference object. The following are the steps to configure the BLOB strategy:
- Run the following CQL to create a new table: CREATE TABLE conference_blob(id int primary key, value blob);.
- Create a new persistence setting for the conference_blob table. Note that keyPersistence remains unchanged, the valuePersistence strategy is changed to BLOB, and serializer="org.apache.ignite.cache.store.cassandra.serializer.KryoSerializer" is set.
