4.1 Introduction
In the last decade, due to the active development of digital technologies for aerospace imagery, the possibility of automated collection and processing of satellite information has emerged. This information can be used to predict the yield of agricultural land, monitor deforestation and water resources, evaluate the tree species reserves, etc. In the case of artificial objects – buildings, cars, roads, and railways – the analysis of satellite information allows assessing the population of the area, helps in logistics, gives hints on possible hazards, etc. In achieving these goals, three‐dimensional (3D) models of urban economic infrastructure can be of significant help. ...
