I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works...
We used the tcpdump Linux tool, which is used to capture or filter data packets. tcpdump is used to capture a packet on a specific interface. We used the -i option for this. We can save captured packets in a file. Just give the filename and specify the -w option in the tcpdump command. We can read the file by giving the -r option to read the file in the tcpdump command.
