1 SHoP Architects, Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York, 2012SHoP Architects completed the Barclays Center in Brooklyn in September 2012. SHoP Construction Services worked closely with structural engineers Thornton Tomasetti and used highly controlled digital direct-to-manufacture processes to deliver a high degree of design-build project integration.

2 SHoP Architects, New York, 2010The SHoP Architects/SHoP Construction Services relationship allows the firm to use digital technology tools to engage in sustainable design activities while virtually controlling construction costs in project design phases. During construction, the virtual model is used to check design assumptions and construct the building virtually, allowing the firm to control construction methods, cost and schedule. Post-construction, the model can be used to record as-built changes and manage the facility.

About 12 years ago, SHoP Architects became interested in development work such as the Porter House and 290 Mulberry Street, and consequently became an equity partner in those projects.
