Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to revolutionize several aspects of human life, and medicine is one of them. For cell and gene-based therapies, the application of AI is still in its preliminary stages but holds tremendous potential. Personalized medicine demands an exhaustive understanding of genomic composition of individuals and the risk factors associated with them. The identification of suitable genes needs meticulous screening and characterization so that an individual has the highest compatibility and hence avails maximum therapeutic benefits. Machine learning (ML) based algorithms, a subset of AI, can help in the screening process.
