So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
Every container must have a layout manager. If a layout manager does not fit your needs, do not attempt to make it work; choose a different layout manager. JBuilder provides a number of time-saving features for building a user interface. Do not be afraid or intimidated to use them. The benefit will pay for itself quickly and many times over.
JBuilder offers layout managers from the simple, such as FlowLayout or BoxLayout, to the complex, such as GridBagLayout.
