I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Where does mentoring come from?
The term ‘mentoring’ originates from Greek mythology, when Ulysses, King of Ithaca, leaving for the siege of Troy, asked his friend Mentor to take care of his son, Telemachus, and to become his teacher, adviser, guardian and friend. Ever since, mentors have performed this multi-faceted role, as fully-rounded individuals – as educators, they pass on values and knowledge, and as trainers, they share their experience and analysis of particular situations, to help the mentees they support.
