In this chapter, we shall cover the typical techniques and technologies used in the data capture step of the data science process.

For data capture, the very first activity is to identify what data is relevant and which are the sources of the relevant data. Once these are determined, the further activities in the data capture step, and the relevant components, are shown in Figure 13-1.
