Deploying the Tomcat application server

By running our JAR, Spring Boot will detect that you have Spring MVC controller and will start up an embedded Apache Tomcat instance. This is its default behavior.

Once the server is running, you will be able to access your application, like we did use Postman in the previous section.

To customize Tomcat, we can use our application.properties file and assign miscellaneous configurations, for example:

• server.tomcat.accept-count=0: The maximum queue length for incoming connection requests when all possible request processing threads are in use.
• server.tomcat.accesslog.buffered=true: Used when you want to buffer the output in such way that it's flushed only periodically.
• server.tomcat.accesslog.directory=logs ...
