If you are trying to make a small change in a system, a company, or the world, you can do it by yourself. If you want to make a large change happen, you need to work with others. If you want to work with others effectively, you need enough process for that work to happen without excessive duplication or missing pieces, and then a way to understand and check that you’re having the desired effect. Doing all of this effectively requires ways to measure the effects of your work, building processes, and accountability. This chapter goes into more depth, especially around the design of review processes, as these are one of the most common and tricky kinds of processes needed to make safety happen.
