3.1 Installing, configuring, and managing WebSphere MQ
Telemetry
At the time of writing, IBM offers both WebSphere MQ V7.0.1, in which MQTT protocol
support is provided as an additional installation, and WebSphere MQ V7.1, in which
WebSphere MQ Telemetry support is included as part of the product installation. For the
purposes of this analysis, in this section we explain how to install and verify, configure, and
manage MQ Telemetry as part of WebSphere MQ V7.1.
3.1.1 Before you begin
With WebSphere MQ V7.1, the MQ Telemetry component is available either as a server or a
client feature.
