Identifying and reusing business rules and transformations enables the standardization of these rules across business processes and subject areas.

Gather the business rules from the requirements gathering.

How to do it...

Data Rules differ from report calculations. These rules are the way information is transformed and manipulated. These rules can potentially change or modify the source information.

Open your data lineage spreadsheet and create an additional tab named Data Rules, as shown in the following screenshot:
