It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Controlling Processes
It’s not uncommon for an application to need to interact with other programs on the same machine. This includes spawning other processes, monitoring them, and so on. The System.Diagnostics namespace contains functionality that enables those scenarios from managed code.
